Cathay Pacific Showcases New Cabins in New York

Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific held a special showcase event at Hudson Yards in New York City as part of its 80th anniversary celebrations. The event, taking place from October 8 to 10, offered visitors a preview of the airline’s new Aria Suite Business Class and Premium Economy seats designed for its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Featuring sliding privacy doors, the Aria Suite offers passengers greater privacy, along with fully flat beds, wireless charging facilities, and personal storage compartments. The new Premium Economy cabin features 15.6-inch screens, Bluetooth connectivity, and enhanced leg rests.

Cathay Pacific officials have not yet announced a confirmed date for the introduction of the new cabins on New York–Hong Kong flights. The upgraded cabins are expected to be gradually introduced on selected New York services in 2027.

Meanwhile, the opening date of the airline’s planned lounge at Terminal 6 of New York John F. Kennedy International Airport also remains uncertain. The approximately 930-square-meter lounge is expected to accommodate around 200 passengers and provide direct boarding access to aircraft.
